Interruptible Service
Interruptible service is available to SCG's dual-fuel commercial and industrial customers, as well as qualifying residential multi-dwelling customers.
The availability of such service is defined in our schedule of rates.
On a monthly basis, the commodity charges for SCG's Interruptible Service rates are set and filed with the Department of Public Utility Control.
A rate is established based upon posted prices, market conditions and market clearing prices for alternate fuels as determined by the Southern Connecticut Gas Corporation. This is what is known as SCG's Standard Offer.
