Robert M. Allessio 

President and Chief Executive Officer

Robert M. Allessio is President and Chief Executive Officer of The Southern Connecticut Gas Company (SCG), headquartered in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation (CNG), headquartered in Hartford, Connecticut. Both SCG and CNG are subsidiaries of Energy East Corporation (NYSE:EAS), located in Albany, New York.

Mr. Allessio is a member of the Board of Directors of the Northeast Gas Association. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Guild of Gas Managers, and the Society of Gas Lighting. Mr. Allessio is a member of the Dalton, Massachusetts Economic Development and Industrial Commission and is affiliated with the Pittsfield, Massachusetts Boy’s and Girl’s Club.

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Mr. Allessio is certified as a Registered Professional Engineer. Mr. Allessio received his Master's degree in Business Administration from Western New England College, and has completed the University of Michigan Utility Executive Training program.

 

 

Janet L. Janczewski 

Senior Corporate Counsel and Secretary

Janet L. Janczewski is Senior Corporate Counsel and Secretary of Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation, and The Southern Connecticut Gas Company.

She previously served as Senior Corporate Counsel and Assistant Secretary of Southern. Prior to joining Southern as Corporate Counsel in 1989, Ms. Janczewski was an Associate with the former Bridgeport law firm of Gladstone, Schwartz, Baroff and Blum.

Ms Janczewski also served as an Assistant Attorney General, State of Connecticut.

Ms. Janczewski serves on the Connecticut Advisory Committee of the New England Legal Foundation and Legal Affairs Counsel of the Connecticut Business & Industry Association. She is a member of the Federal Energy Bar Association, Corporate Bar Association, and the American, Connecticut and New York Bar Associations. She is a member of the American Gas Association, New England Gas Association and the American Society of Corporate Secretaries. Ms. Janczewski is a member of the Patnering Committee of the Bridgeport area Habitat for Humanity.

Ms. Janczewski received a Bachelor of Science degree from Sacred Heart University and a law degree from the University of Bridgeport School of Law/Quinnipiac College School of Law. She is admitted to the Connecticut Bar, New York Bar and Florida Bar.

 

 

James E. Earley

Vice President Controller and Treasurer

James E. Earley is Vice President Controller and Treasurer of Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation and The Southern Connecticut Gas Company.

Mr. Earley previously held various positions in the accounting area including Director Corporate Accounting for CNG and Southern, Corporate Controller and Assistant Controller for Southern. He joined Southern in 1998.

Mr. Earley is a member of the Northeast Gas Association and past president of the New Haven chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Quinnipiac University and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of New Haven. He is a Certified Management Accountant.

 

 

Tim D. Kelley

Vice President Energy Services

Tim D. Kelley is Vice President Energy Services of Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation, and The Southern Connecticut Gas Company.

Previously, Mr. Kelley was President and Chief Executive Officer of Maine Natural Gas, headquartered in Augusta, Maine. He was appointed to that position in September 1998. Maine Natural Gas also is a subsidiary of Energy East.

Mr. Kelley joined New York State Electric & Gas Corporation(NYSEG), a subsidiary of Energy East, in 1991 and served in a variety of positions including Manager of gas Pricing, Regulation and Strategy. Previous to joining NYSEG, he was employed by the Illinois Commerce Commission as an Economist and later as Director of the Commission’s FERC program. He has testified in numerous proceedings before the Illinois Commerce Commission, the New York Public Service Commission, the Maine Public Utilities Commission and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. He is a past Chairman of the American Gas Association’s Regulatory Committee.

Mr. Kelley holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and History, and a Masters in Economics, all from Illinois State University.

 

 

William Reis

Vice President Administrative Services

William Reis is Vice President Administrative Services of Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation and The Southern Connecticut Gas Company.

Before being elected to his current position in December 2000, Mr. Reis served as Director Project Development of TEN Companies, Inc., a nonutility subsidiary of Energy East Corporation. Since joining TEN in 1983, Mr. Reis has held management and executive positions in the Company's operations, business development and marketing areas.

Mr. Reis is a Director, Marketing Division, of the New England Gas Association and is a member of the Boards of Directors of the Connecticut Economic Resource Council, East Hartford Chamber of Commerce, Bushnell Park Foundation and Riverfront Recapture. He also serves as Director of the Hartford Growth Council and is a Director of the American Gas Cooling Center.

Mr. Reis holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Finance from Northeastern University.

 

 

Joseph Vicidomino

Director Human Resources

Joseph Vicidomino is Director Human Resources of Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation and The Southern Connecticut Gas Company.

Mr. Vicidomino previously was Director, Human Resources for Southern. Prior to joining Southern, he was Manager, Human Resources for Textron Lycoming/Allied Signal Corporation, Stratford, Connecticut.

Mr. Vicidomino is a member of the Board of Directors of Easter Seals/Goodwill Industries, New Haven, Connecticut. He is Chairman of the Human Resources Committee of the New England Gas Association.

Mr. Vicidomino holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Central Connecticut State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of New Haven. He has completed Executive Programs at Harvard University and Cornell University

 

 

Diane L. Nunn

Director Regional Operations

Diane L. Nunn is Director Regional Manager Operations of Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation

Prior to being appointed to her current position, Ms. Nunn served as Vice President Human Resources and Information Services. Ms. Nunn joined Southern in 1984 as a member of its Human Resources Department and held a number of positions within the Company before being elected Vice President of Customer and Distribution Services in 1998. She also has held the position of Vice President Distribution and Gas Control Services.

Ms. Nunn is a member of the Boards of Directors of the Greater Bridgeport YMCA and is also a member of the Board of Advisors for Housatonic Community College.

Ms. Nunn holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Sacred Heart University and a Master of Science in Industrial Relations from the University of New Haven.

 

 

Christopher Malone

Director Regional Operations

Christopher Malone is General Manager Operations for The Southern Connecticut Gas Company.

Mr. Malone previously was Manager Customer Service for CNG and has held various positions within CNG’s Regulatory Planning and Rates departments. He joined CNG is 1985 from Traveler’s Insurance Company.

Mr. Malone serves as First Vice Chairman of the Customer and Utility Services Committee of the American Gas Association and is associated with Leadership Greater Hartford – Class of 2001. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Malone holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Salve Regina University, Newport, Rhode Island and has participated in continuing education programs sponsored by the American Gas Association.
