Pay in Person

Want to make a payment towards your bill in person? Look for SCG's Western Union and CheckFreePay walk-in locations. There is no fee to use an authorized pay agent for CheckFreePay and Western Union; however, payments made outside of an authorized location may be subject to additional fees charged by the pay agent. Your payment may also be delayed.

To avoid additional fees and delayed payments, please utilize the pay locators and search instructions below to find an authorized pay agent.

Please bring your bill payment stub when you pay in-person.

CheckFreePay

CheckFreePay is available at any Walmart in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

Find an authorized pay agent location near you by visiting CheckFreePay.

To search:

  1. Type the zip code or city in Location Search.
    a.    Select the correct location from the dropdown.
  2. Type “Southern Connecticut Gas” in Biller Search; Note: The acronym SCG cannot be used to search. 
    a.    Select the correct biller from the dropdown.
  3. A list of authorized payment locations will automatically populate under “Location List” at the bottom.

Western Union

Pay in person at SCG's Western Union walk in locations. To find the nearest location, visit Western Union's website.

To search:

  1. Type the zip code in Find a location.
    a.    Select the correct location from the dropdown.
  2. Click the filter button 
  3. Click “Quick Collect” under Pay a bill.
  4. Click “Apply filter”.
  5. You will be directed back to the main location finder page and a list of authorized payment locations will populate.

 

Posting of Payments

To allow for processing time, and to avoid late payment charges, we recommend that you pay your bill several days prior to the due date.

Payments made at an authorized pay agent will post to your account within one (1) business day.

Payment Methods

We strongly encourage you to check with your local authorized pay agent as additional forms of payment may be accepted.

Payments can be made using cash, check, or money order.

Termination Notices

If you have a termination notice which will soon expire, please contact us (Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) to discuss payment options or immediately after making a payment at a pay agent with your proof of payment information.
